Samantha (Sammi) is a distinguished multi-award-winning entrepreneur and content engineer with over twenty years of executive-level, corporate, and professional writing and digital content design experience. She is also a recognized business coach, committed to the advancement of the Black community.

Sammi is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business (GS10KSB) program and the Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy 2022 inaugural cohort. Sammi has earned certificates in Women’s Entrepreneurship and Women’s Leadership through the eCornell/Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship.

Sammi is the recipient of the 2023 Business Award from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club (NANBPWC) New Haven Club. Sammi also received the Exceptional Women Award from Soroptimist International Greater Hartford.

As an astute businesswoman and serial entrepreneur, Sammi has launched several companies, including 628 Digital Design, a full-service digital content design and marketing agency, and Melanated Business Coaching, where she provided intentional coaching specifically for Black women entrepreneurs. Sammi later merged Melanated Business Coaching with 628 Digital Design to provide technical assistance and coaching.

Sammi is the Founder and President of CMWP Foundation, Inc., is an international entrepreneurial support organization (ESO) with a mission to increase the visibility, capacity, and business profitability of professional Black men, women, and children. CMWP also has a membership program, the Collaboration of Minority Women Professionals (CMWP). Sammi leads the development, execution, and curriculum design for CMWP.

Samantha is also an accomplished program designer and facilitator of Black and minority-focused curriculum, mentoring, and training programs that she builds, designs, and executes.

628 Digital Design is certified B Corp and dba of Sam’s Word, which is a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Sam’s Word is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) through the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Sam’s Word is also a certified M/WBE with the Cities of New York Philadelphia, and the states of New York and Connecticut. Sam’s Word is also a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the Department of Transportation (DOT) for California, Connecticut, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Washington. Sam’s Word is also a Certified Black Business Enterprise (BBE) through the U.S. Black Chambers/ByBlack.


Sammi is also the recipient of the 2023 New Haven Biz Women in Business Award, the 2022 CT Entrepreneur Awards, and the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce 2020 Women’s Achievement Awards for Community Impact. Sammi also received the 2021 Leadership Award from the Collaboration of Minority Women Professionals.

As the recipient of the 2023 Wharton Knowledge for Impact Award, Sammi completed The Neuroscience of Business: Innovations in Leadership and Strategic Decisions program.

Sammi also served as the Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) at the New Haven Free Public Library (NHFPL). Sammi sits on the Board of Directors for The New Haven Public Library Foundation, Clifford Beers Clinic, and Orchard House. In 2024, Sammi was selected to serve as an Advisory Council Member at the Harvard Business Review.
